What is ounce tea?

Unzen tea is grown in a mountainous area at an altitude of about 50 meters or more in Mizuho-cho, the town of Unzen, at the foot of Mount “Unzen”.
Cultivation began around 1930 and most tea growers produce steamed Tamaryoku tea.
Steamed Tamaryoku tea, commonly known as “guri tea,” is bent into a magatama shape and has a mild flavor.
In addition, Unzen tea in Nagasaki Prefecture is highly regarded as a production area that can be harvested early.
It is a small production area with a total cultivated area of approximately 13 hectares. Our farm manages 5 hectares of this area in an integrated manner, including cultivation, production and sales.
